On the other hand, due to this film, a case was also registered against Allu Arjun, due to which he was arrested and on Sunday he had to appear at Hyderabad’s Chikkadpalli Police Station. Allu Arjun followed the bail condition set by the court in the stampede case at Sandhya Theater. Allu Arjun spent 10 minutes at the police station and completed all the formalities. Earlier, the Nampally Criminal Court had granted regular bail to the actor on Friday and the actor was granted interim bail of four weeks by the Telangana High Court. While granting bail, Nampally court ordered Allu Arjun to deposit two sureties of Rs 50,000 each. The court directed Allu Arjun to cooperate in the case and not influence the witnesses in any way.

The police had strongly opposed Allu Arjun’s bail plea, but according to his lawyers, the actor cannot be directly blamed for the stampede in the theater. A woman died in the stampede at Sandhya Theater during the premiere show of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ and the woman’s son also got seriously injured, due to which the police registered a case of culpable homicide against Allu Arjun and his entire team as well as the theater management.

In this case, Allu Arjun was arrested on December 13 and produced in Nampally Court and sent to 14 days judicial custody.

Allu Arjun and his team lawyers moved the High Court from where they got interim bail for four weeks on the same day and the High Court asked Allu Arjun to approach the lower court for regular bail. Allu Arjun, named as accused number 11 in the stampede case, was released from Chanchalguda jail the next day and after the expiry of the 14-day judicial custody period on 27 December, the actor had to appear before the court for further proceedings. The actor made his appearance in the court through video conference. As part of the investigation into the stampede, the police questioned Allu Arjun on 24 December and collected CCTV footage of the incident spot and prepared a 10-minute video based on which the police questioned Allu Arjun for three hours at the Chikkadpally police station.
